Who we are
We are Marco Kuepfer and Elena Zavatta, both with Italian origins. We are currently living in Switzerland but ever since we bought the azienda agricola in 2008, we spend every possible free moment at the Tagliato. With our passion for the art of winemaking, in combination with our love for nature we dedicate ourselves with great enthusiasm and commitment to this land which has enchanted us from the very first moment.
In recent years the renowned oenologists Jurij and Vittorio Fiore have assumed the winemaking for the Balze d’Istrice. Their competence and vast experience have helped us to produce a wine with a distinct and unique character.
